IMPORTANT: We highly recommend that you read the FAQ below before registering.
If you are a delegate, please select the Delegate Registration option. If you are chaperoning independent or school delegate(s) at the conference, please select the Chaperone Registration option. If you are a secondary or high school Model UN club interested in registering your school for the conference, please select the School Registration option.
It depends on your previous Model UN experience. We recommend DISEC and UN Women for beginners and EU and CCPCJ for intermediate delegates. We also recommend a less geopolitically important country for beginners and a more geopolitically important country for intermediate or advanced delegates.
Payments are processed by Stripe, our secure payment processor. You can pay using any major credit or debit card. We are unable to accept any other method of payment.
Schools may collect the delegate registration fee from your delegates using their own payment methods and then we will send you an invoice to pay for all of the delegates that have registered under your school name.
We try to process all registrations as quickly as we can. Please allow up to 24 hours for us to register your school or you as a chaperone. Please allow up to 48 hours for us to register you as a delegate and give you your position assignment. Once your registration has been processed, we will send you a confirmation email.
Once your registration is submitted, there are no refunds possible for any reason. All registration fees paid are final.
We try our best to assign delegates to the best position based on their experience and preferences. However, if you are not satisfied with your position assignment, please reply with your preferred committee and country to your committee assignment email. The decision to change your position assignment will be determined solely by our team at their discretion, and may or may not be granted.
Yes, you do. A chaperone can chaperone a school delegation or independent delegate(s). There is no minimum delegate-to-chaperone ratio; however, we recommend a 10:1 ratio for proper supervision. If you do not have a chaperone, you will not be permitted to attend the conference and you will not be entitled to a refund.
Yes, NVMUN does provide awards to delegates. One award of each of Best Researched (for best position paper), Best Delegate, Outstanding Delegate, and Honourable Mention per committee will be given out. Awards are determined at the sole discretion of the dais.
Yes, we will provide snacks and drinks during the extended break and lunch and drinks during the lunch break.
