The North Vancouver Model United Nations Conference represents the pinnacle of academic diplomacy, bringing together the brightest minds from across the region to engage in meaningful discourse on the world's most pressing issues. Hosted at Saint Thomas Aquinas Regional Secondary School, our conference upholds the highest standards of intellectual rigor and diplomatic excellence.
At NVMUN, we believe that the responsibility of a Model United Nations conference extends beyond the committee room. In keeping with our mission to foster global citizenship and meaningful engagement with international issues, we are committed to contributing directly to humanitarian causes. Beginning with our inaugural year, 50% of all net profits from each iteration of NVMUN will be donated to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). As the world’s largest humanitarian organisation addressing hunger and promoting food security, the WFP plays a vital role in supporting vulnerable communities across the globe. By aligning our conference with the WFP’s efforts, NVMUN seeks to ensure that the impact of our work resonates not only with the delegates who attend but also with those who face the pressing realities of hunger and food insecurity. Through this commitment, we hope to encourage our participants to see diplomacy and dialogue not merely as academic exercises, but as tools to drive tangible, positive change in the world.
