North Vancouver Model United Nations

Empowering Tomorrow's Global Leaders

October 18, 2025

Late Registration is open until October 18 for $25.

School Administrators, Faculty Advisors, and Prospective Delegates,

It is my distinct honour to welcome you to the inaugural iteration of North Vancouver Model United Nations (NVMUN) 2025. Founded with the vision of providing a platform for rigorous debate, collaborative problem-solving, and the cultivation of global awareness, NVMUN seeks to inspire the next generation of leaders within our community and beyond.

The creation of NVMUN has been driven by a simple but powerful belief: that young people, when given the tools of diplomacy, empathy, and critical thought, can meaningfully engage with the world’s most pressing issues. At a time when international cooperation is both more fragile and more essential than ever, the need to nurture thoughtful, informed global citizens has never been clearer. As Founder and Secretary-General, it is my privilege to help guide this new tradition, and to invite you to join us in shaping its legacy.

Our committees have been carefully selected to reflect the diversity of challenges and opportunities that define the twenty-first century. From the intricacies of regional security and humanitarian crises to the economic and social dimensions of our globalised world, delegates will immerse themselves in simulations that challenge them to research, debate, and innovate. Beyond substantive engagement, NVMUN aims to create an environment where students can forge lasting friendships, develop confidence in public speaking, and discover the joy of collaborative achievement.

Accessibility and inclusivity stand at the heart of our mission. We firmly believe that no student should be denied the opportunity to participate in academic discourse, and we are committed to providing resources that ensure every delegate, regardless of background, feels supported and empowered.

On behalf of the Secretariat team, I extend a warm invitation to join us for this first chapter of NVMUN. It is our hope that your experience here will not only challenge and inspire you but also equip you with the skills and perspectives to lead with integrity in the years ahead. Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at [email protected].

We look forward to welcoming you to NVMUN 2025, where together we will learn today, and lead tomorrow.

Warmly,

Jonathan Weng
Founder and Secretary-General
